It's always fun to see the visual effects artists playing in their native environment...
Vote, and then specify why you voted the way you did. What is it about the company that intrigues you? If the company you'd like to visit isn't on this list, which company is it?

Well, I'd say that Pixar isn't a "visual effects" house, but they are in the business of making great films. They started out with a hit in 1995, and 10 years later, they continue on an unmatched path of making quality films focusing on getting the story right at any cost. I think they have a great philosophy, and until they crank out a bad one, I'll keep waiting in line opening day to see their new films release. I suppose I don't care to see the others as much, simply because they don't seem to take care of their employees as much. In reality, it woudl be great to be inside all of them... see how varying things can be under different roofs... shatter the ideal image we may have of some of these places, and get a more realistic idea of what's in store for us as graduates...

I would like to tour ILM. Particularly to see their new Presidio facility, but mostly to see the Yoda statue and get some swag.

Field tip ILM it's my dream because it's the famous company in the world. I think all the visual effects artists'd like to go to ILM if them have chance. For me I'd like to see how do they work and what are they doing right now or future. It's experience in my life because it's difficult to come to the famous company. I'm so excited. I think I'll get many thing from there. So, if I would have chance to go any company, I would go to Rhythm & Hue, Dream Works, Giant Killer Robots and Mill.

I voted for ILM because I don't know too much about any of them and there is no way that any other place will win at this point. I look forward to visiting any of them.

I voted for ILM because last semester I read about 4 huge "Tabletop" books and the innovation was as impressive as the effects. The whole history of film VFX going down the tubes and then Lucas' success with Francis Coppola, THX1138 and then American Graffiti and the the epic, "Star Wars". I have a lot of respect for those folks.

I agree with Brandy. ILM are the greatest and I also heard that their new place is the best.

I vote for them all, there are only 8 on the list, lets do one every 2 weeks! if forced to choose one, I vote ILM, maybe good old George can be there, so we can slap em upside the head and say, hey what were you thinking? ok I'm just kidding about that last part, but ILM would be cool.
we'll wait till he actually does put ewoks in the digitaly remastered Indiana Jones to slap em upside the head.

I voted for ILM, because 2 of the summer's best FX movies came from there,,, "Revenge of the Sith" and "War of the Worlds".. also the so-so movie with excellent FX , "The ISland". Although I did not care for the film, I have to say it looked great..and as much as I dislike Michael Bay's directing style, his sense of color and composition is amazing.
I would think that ILM is not fully moved in to their new Presidio location though, so I would be happy visiting any of the others. I recommend walking around their new campus as it has some beautiful landscaping. Also you could take a picture with the Yoda fountain!

Adam, I don't recall THX1138 actually being a hit? I think more people have been bored by it on the new dvd, atracted by the adds, then ever saw it when it was new. I do remember seeing a double feature of American Graffiti and StarWars at the drive in, I was really to young to understand American Graffiti, but starwars blew my hair back, Graffiti is a good film, but not for a 4 year old lol.

American Graffitti as a blast. I liked it even at a younger age. I think I saw it on tv when I was 12 years old. Ron Howard's acting was so good. I wonder what his next project will be. I'll check it on IMDB.

I know that the previously mentioned Survey Hell thread is now closed, but I change my vote to The Orphanage. As it would be more fun and interesting to see the overwhelming winner for "Worst VFX Company to Work For". Or if anything to meet the pissed off guy who voted for The Orphanage a hundred times!
