Group 02
GS02_tk02, X-men
- good shadow overall
- Vince inquired if they were able to fix the hot highlight, Juan confirmed
- need bg effects, Juan char's hand near window would cut ambient shadow slightly on surface & bit more on edge of desk, faint contact shadow. Qtr stop or half stop. Use fast blur. When char arm moves, the shadow would leave
- Ferro says gamma is off on Hana's char. Blacks dont match
- very close, good contact shadow
- Hana's char a lil flashed
Group 03, Shot 1
GS03-tk01, Samurai
- needs cc: make cooler, take green out, add more violet
- add reflection & contact shadow
- location is out of direct sunlite, more diffuse lighting area
- make sure extraction is not too chunky
- recommends chroma key & edge wrap in AE effects (curves light around edges)
- needs tracking, lil bit of bounce
- use Sorensen compression, make as sharp as possible
Group 01, Shot 2
GS01-tk02, Fifth Element
- rim is nice, but overfilled
- questions if cam shifting around or McCrea char moving around, McCrea confirmed it's self motion
- Vince wants to see old take for scale ref
- get a better # of takes
- Vince recommends using the newer AAU slate. Scene files must list ??
- Comparison of takes: Use chin line as marker & bring it down to full to full & half stop. Cant find good reason for face/neck shadows.
- Vince suggests using one frame to control McCrea shifting, add noise so it wont look static.
Group 03, Shot 2
GS03-tk01, Samurai
- problem with shadow on leg: as Luke char sits, need shadow that splits his shin bend. End of kid's pole is going thru Luke char's body. Eye line is inaccurate, move char over a bit.
- Scale is awkward, must match head size. Descale only 5%. Use scale center beneath Luke char's feet.
- Put matte on knee near kid to take it down.
Group 03, Shot 3
GS03-tk01, (Indian movie)
- matte is unfinished
- removed man from original & replaced Jeet char
- dont see motion blur, but Jeet confirms it's set
- stability issue
- improve cc
- Jeet char's hand lacks the strong lite. Looks like its clamped.
