Matchlighting:
Ben Laidlaw:
Have a lighting reference. I’d like to see where the visuals map in. Pull back. Contact on ground. See if it’s matching. Stretch on the reflection doesn’t look right. Would be cool shot, if you could put back five feet. Shadow with displacement edge.
Pavin:
Call Mars and they’ll make cubic m&ms. Want to see more. Final CBB: Thin M
UFO Project:
Ben Byung:
[Will make a parking meter turn into a UFO.]
Charles Yeh:
Moving slow enough that I would expect it to be more well resolved. It’s getting transparent around the edges.
Tim Roseborough:
Make sure blown up to 720. Fix the matchmove and render and comp for making mattes.
Javier:
Work on fake shadow. Slow it down. Lose the end.
Mali:
Nice track. Final CBB:Would be great if bits of building got “tractor beamed” up? Can show with particles. Check black levels and make sure not too low. Blacks should match. Scale speed and perfect zoom are good. More noise in the spec to get the sense of scale.
Abe:
Lights look good. Give an x rotation. Nice diffuse, but let’s get a tight spec. Can we get a tight spec? More detail in the model. Bump matte to show some greeblies.
Margiv:
Must figure out how not to make it double exposed. Looks like it could be a projection on our glasses. Object has to have some dimensionality. Show some orientation to make it look like it’s 3D. Make it look less contrived.
Mai & Ben Laidlaw:
[No background]
I don’t think light would fall off so slowly. Is there a way to make it more prominent? A little closer blocking so we can see the silhouette.
Pavin:
Why does it get blurry? I don’t think it’s slipping enough. Work on the track and stay in focus. Goes into and then out of the fog bank? Make the craft larger and go through the fog bank? Would have a lot of light underneath it. Bring up the lighting a stop & a half.
