UFO Dailies:
Margiv:
Final CBB:
Trompe L’Oeil. Grain, focus blur. Faux Camera recorder digits. All great! Need to mask and blur out the digit dates. Needs a little more cheesy digital look. Fatter font for the digits, perhaps. Make sure matte includes the translucency of the window on the edge of the building. Fix mattes so glass frames at frames, 486, 528. As it recedes give me more atmospheric.
Javier:
Need to take down the dust that would have been on the window. You can see the shadow on the window because of that dust on window. Would see the shadow on the window. Try to take the reflection out of the shadow pass. Tone down the Blue on the UFO.
Mai:
Perfect. Final for that part.
Abe:
Fade in the intro of the UFO. You should make a good burst of light in the frames when the UFO is close. It blows out the whole scene for just a moment. At the outro, the teal lights should be blurred. UFO needs some surface texture and dirt to look less plastic.
Charles Yeh:
Final CBB:
The matte should be tighter at frame 89. Success. Could do with a little more lens contamination. 75% more than what you’ve got. Would a hard angle be cast on the building? Yes. The light would be shining hard over the church. Drop a luminance call a couple of pixels down. Make it subtle.
Daniel & Natasha
Final. CBB:
The UFO stays a long time. Can you give a little more shadow effect as it’s coming out the building? (frame 289). A little shaped matte as it’s coming out. Not seeing cast shadow enough. Get rid of the extra shadow. Make the main shadow a little more diffuse. Color correction a little more magenta than green. Flatten all the tangents on the movements. They are linear. Should feel like it has some weight. Ease in and out. At end, edge wrap a lot. Should be blown out as if in profile. Almost against light source.
Jenny:
Final CBB:
Tracking is not really in 3D. 2D/3D move effects mixed. Just have the UFO go off frame. Are those pops reflections? Why is it the yellow color? Let’s talk about the trail privately.
Come up with another way to make the streak.
Lee & Ben:
Keep the same size but extract trees and make sure they were in front. The UFO can be in YB Gardens. I like the smaller scale better. Larger scale introduces more trouble. Your call. Do the old one with the leaves on top.
Tim R.:
Camera shake that’s more vertical. I need to see the core that’s driving it. Leave the core on the frame and make it bigger for a frame or two. Start contamination at 10:04. Need ball of energy interacting with scene. Pull a luminance call on what’s behind it to show how it lights up the room.
Von:
Need a matchmove that makes sense. If we’re on the ground, we need to see an underside view. Tracking Not working.
Noir Dailies:
Mai & Charles:
Charles is de-contrasted in view. Turn up brightness & we’ll work on it.
FN03:
BG plate. I want to see the scratches on the film in the element. Can’t tell until I see a slap comp.
Ben & Lee:
Nice job. Continue.
Mali & Abe & Tim & Ben:
Is this being stretched a little. Looks a little squeezed. W’ell take a look at the mattes. Scale might be a little small. Eyeline would work if raised so top of head covers the framing.
