Q: What are Caustics?
A: Caustics (light patterns caused by refraction or reflection of light, such as bright spots caused by lenses or bottles, and underwater light patterns). The algorithms used for global illumination and caustic simulation is independent of geometric scene complexity. Volume caustics: Volume caustics is focused light made visible as a beam in fog or other diffuse media represented by a volume, in this case a volume of light.
