Brandy, I just watched crashed, and then walked down the dock and had a 2 hour conversation about it with the guy who loaned it to me, this was an awesome film. When it starts you feel like its wagging is finger at you yelling, “you’re a freaking racist” whether you are or not, it makes you feel as if you were, then it puts its metaphoric arms around you and says “ it is ok, see everyone’s a racist” then it sort of laughs and tells you, “hey look at what he just did, all you racists are right to feel that way”. Then it slaps you upside the head and says “what are you stupid, yes en every race there is bad, but there is also good, its called being human, and you like everyone else is at least a little racist, and you better freaking snap out of it”.
The end was great, and it makes you think, at the beginning the Hispanic woman, say don’t mam me Detective, you think she is calling the cop detective, not saying she is a detective, and the scene in the gun shop, he asks are you sure you want these bullets, you think he is saying “these bullets are way to strong for a woman to handle,” just based on how he was acting before.

Micheal this crash was mad by the same guy who did Mystic River, Paul Haggis, it's a pretty new film.

So... I have to see it! Just for general knowledge... I think that one of Kronenberg's strongest and bizarre film is "Videodrom". More terryfing from his version to the fly. And Gilliam's "Brother Grimm" doesn't do so well at the box office... only at the seventh place. I read a review, mentioning that Gilliam "lost" his special touch. The same touch that made "Fisher King" ; "12 monkeys" and "Brazil" so great.

I just finished watching a film on Showtime that I haven’t seen in a couple years, but I had to post and recommend it to the class, it is called “The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys” while I think 2d animators might enjoy it a little more than us, but it is an awesome flick all the same.

Any of u guys seen Flight of the Phoenix??? I jus watched the DVD few nights back and wow.... the scene when the plane flies thru the sandstorm and then crashes is totally awesome. one of the best crash scenes ever.....
And i am just back from watching Corspe Bride. It is definitely a must-watch for animation majors. The stop-motion is totally awesome. i didnt know what to expect before i went to watch it, but it sure was worth it.... -Prasanna

Yeah, well I was just saying that the story was lost on some, because it has already been performed and we all know its not real. This is unlike the original, which frightened people to death because they thought aliens had landed on earth and were taking over.
