Come on dude show a little pity, the keys just broke off last week, a crescent wrench fell on it. But I’m going to replace the keyboard; I can get a keyboard for the same price as replacing two keys. Besides my power book is unique in this world, it’s the only power book 15inch 667mhz Ethernet model, with a DVD-r –rw +r +rw, DVD ram, cd-r –rw +r +rw.

I was there looking at hard drives, and have good prices. I was comparing prices for Wacom tablets as well, and they are about %10- %15 cheaper than Comp USA's. They sell everything there... Video cards, cases, memory, etc... George, Thanks for the info. It is most helpful. Can you be more specific about what they have there ? Be careful with eBay..I have been ripped off several times and don't expect eBay OR paypal to reimburse you.
Look for "sold as is" "don't have a power plug to test" "priced to sell" phrases like this mean that it's broken.

If you wan't to get a Mac going for some Shake fun, try: www.macsales.comThey have a lot of upgrade/ replacement parts for older macs. I built a FCP/Shake machine for $400...It won't render near as fast as a new G5 or even touch a 3GHZ Pentium Dell, but I can work at home so I'm happy.

how much did you get your powerbook for? and i just looked at some of the deals on powerbooks on e bay, and a couple of them are pretty crazy, especially their starting bids. how safe are these auctions? and do you think its safer to buy it for the full price from the same seller, or is it ok to place a bid when its this low?

I paid 800 for my powerbook about a year and a half ago, then i bought a multi drive, does a bit more that a super drive, I think ebay is pretty safe, you here horror stories, but I have never actually met someone who has had one first hand.

lol heres the update on the imfamuos powerbook I bought on ebay a long time ago in a state far far away, Oklahoma, the other night it desided it would rather be a piece ot toast than a computer. right now I have it strung apart, wires everywere and using my tv as my monitor via s video, the resolution sucks, i thought it would be better on a 32 inch GE, but its just temp, as I bit the bullet called apple and have a new powerbook coming to me, it should be here sometime while I'm in class tomorrow, so if anyone needs powerbook parts let me know.the Battery and memory are good, as is the 30 gig drive, and the muti drive I installed, it writes all the dvd stuff including ddvd ram, while the wires to the monitor are cut, and the case at the hinge is broken, the lcd itself works fine. it also has a good motherboard, airport card, and I have a pcmcia firewire 800 card and a bluetooth modual I no longer need
btw the HD is full of programs and stuff,
so come on down to Jason's house of Used, preownen and broken powerbook crap, for the best deal in the Universe.
