Naming convention of files: Basename.framenumber.extention
Vince notes on GS01:
shot 1: check green spill check lens distortion put Sleights on your scenes!! put framenumbers on your .mov files
shot 2: check your contrast. check black levels. try and use animation compression instead for a better result. put Sleights on your scenes!! put framenumbers on your .mov files the extraction is a little off
Vince notes on GS02:
Scene_01: he is a little sharp compared to the rest of the plate. so blur him a little. check matte on right shoulder. it looks a little soft. take his intensity down a little on the left side of his face. take the intensity on his face down a bit. spill on his face - just a little. or take his contrast down a little bit. try and remove the green is his face with a contrast, by moving the pivot.
Scene_03: Tone down saturation and contrast. match the color temperature
Scene_05: get the scale and the color right. reflection
Scene_06: put grain on top again, little bit of noise color try to squeeze him he is a little green, take some green out and get some magenta into him.. he is a little de-contrasty. he is a little sharp. Jet lee looks softer.

Dailies for Week 5 Additional Information
Filenames - See the student drop-off folder for filename examples.
GS01 - Do not over expose the background or you may have a problem with Greenspill. - Even if the scene looks evenly lit... make the foreground lighting slightly brighter than the background to reduce Greenspill.
GS03 - Only replace 1 actor. Too much work to replace both.

Dailies for Week 6
GREENSCREEN: GS01 - Always render out footage for Dailies. If files are large, just render at half resolution. (Thumbnail size.) - No more than two periods in a file name (ex: file.number.ext) - No spaces in a filename - After Effects Projects: Always split into multiple comps. - After Effects Matts: Use a solid to store layer masks.
GS02 - No new Comp work this week.
MATCH LIGHTING: (GENERAL NOTE > Choose something simple, then do a complex Maya effect with it.)
Aaron - Use either the ball on the ground or re-shoot the ball on the utility box with a more complex shadow.
Cheryl - Pinball machine: Zoom in for a closer shot. Try to get a shot with the ball in the machine. - OR Pool Table: Add overhead light.
Chad - If using the beach wood scene, then try adding a glass ball. The construction site would be better if there were more contrast in the shadows. If the sphere is crushing the cement, maybe add some dust & debris.
David - Baseball on table is OK.
Tyler - Blinds behind hand, Stairs with light. Both OK. Just don't do a water scene.
Devank - Need more complexity. Intervening shadows. Wants to see contact surface of ball on table. Need scene files and reference materials.
Emi - Get a shot with the monitor turned on. It will add a little more complexity and interest.
Jeff - Position ball (lime) so that another object casts a shadow on it. Please put a ball in another photo for light reference. (So you can see what a reflection would look like.) Maybe change the shape so it really looks like a lime.
J.Disler - Add more complexity to shadows.
Kristal - Bathroom: There were no intervening shadows across the object, but the multiple light sources were good. -OR Railroad, lens distortion is good. Try adding other shadows from other objects to create interest and a cast shadow onto your object.
Roy - The "chaos" in the background looks good... adds more interest. Exteriors would be good for someone going into matte painting.
Yuka - Turn off the other lights, use the red light illuminating from the keyboard & maybe turn on the computer monitor. Need to take a second picture and add a ball for reference.
