notes on Assignment1:
GS01:
Shot 1 - Sitting person.
color is good look at the color of the caps, guess its ok, but the saturation levels are a bit different. look that up.
edges look ok.
other than that, shot is final.
Shot 2 - GS01_Leave
edge problems on character, fix the edges. colors are not the same, match the blue colors on the character to the right.
Pull back on the magenta come towards on cyene
The scale is a bit off, the guy is taller than jamie, so make Jamie a bit smaller.
theres some spill suppression that need fixing. - green on neck
GS02:
Scene_01 look at the reflection, the edges in the reflection look too prestine and perfect, looks too perfect.
look at the luma at the flames - looks like we are losing saturation. other_final Scene_03 his edge is looking a little soft, a bit suspicious. other_final Scene_05 Make sure that the contact shadow is dark enough, other than that, final take the white solid out. theres a hot spec kick on his feet and hands. take that down a bit - you can put a gradient on it.
Scene_06 make sure his black levels are not darker than the blacks on the table. bring down the focus blur. make a soft edge on the table reflection. and narrow it in so its slimmer than him. Sword reflection at the table edge, we took it out, put it back in. grad his hands down a bit, put something that will differinciate that the light is coming from the top and down
Matchlighting notes:
Chris:
Hiro: Match the colors - get into the same color world as the rest of the scene. make a reflection occlusion pass. (calculates where reflections are.) get rid of the bottle...thats just hella weird
Jamie: be aware that you need to get some bouncelights inthere.
JongHa: fix your reflections, theres a lot of lights in the intersection from the light poles, but no reflections in the coke can. the spec seems kinda doll, its illuminum, illuminum has some sort of brushed matte attributes to it, you would see some sharp highlights that would be blurred back to match the plate. Watch your shadows, make sure they dont get too dense.
Kibum: a little more blue, its a little green, try and match the blue in the shadows. the far shadow might be compromised a bit by your edgewrap. a little bit ofdefraction on the edge of ball far shadow. would be nice to use a displacement map on the shadow so you can see the pattern on the floor.
Mao: Get the grass blades back covering the sphere. the light isnt exactly right, change the direction slightly. the shadows need to be more blue n sky color. use the sky blue in the picture as reference. more displacement in the grass.
Carlos: put something colored on it. helmets dont get scratched like that get a bit more light on it, it looks very dark.
Richard Pang: you need to see the skyball light on the statue.
