Green Screen Project
GS01
Please fix your slates!!!
Shot 1
• Exaction looks good.
• Fine tune and squeeze the reflection.
• Double check top surface of the table in the first few frames.
• Double check the light wrap on the pants.
GS02
Please rename your movies. Correct naming convention. Ex: GS02a.mov, GS02b.mov. plate: GS02_orig.mov
Reminder: 720x480
Shot 1
•Rotoscoped shot approved!
Shot 2
•Fix the rim on the hat. Try to match light in the original shot by adding light to the hand.
Shot 3
• Pooh still looks fuzzy. Try adding a sharpen filter or try blurring the background.
• Move Pooh back behind the tracks. See class example: Student DropOff GS02
Shot 4
• More neutral mid-tones. Take some red out.
Shot 5
•Move pooh behind the tracks and possibly add a flash for 2 frames when the gun goes off.
GS03
Shot 1
• Get your background put in.
• Edge light is a little too hot on the hands.
Use background desk papers to gauge brightness.
• Check the saturation of the reds.
• Extraction looks a little "goopy" Use edge blend on blur.
See class example: Student DropOff GS03
• Fix the webbing on the hands
Shot 2
•Too much contrast - use the darks (blacks) in the shot to gauge your darks
- pay close attention to the dark values in the hat.
• The highlights are too bright. Use the "milkly" whites in the shot as your
highlight reference. Don't exceed the light values in the shot.
• Correct the black edge rim on his back. Use a ramp.
See class example:Student DropOff GS03
MatchLight Project
Correction File Formate: (1)slate, (2) original plate, (3) matchlight shot
CLai: Saturation- Shadows darker and more reflection
HKUO: Color correction
Chris: Add shadow and reflection on the outside. Add an edge blend and contact shadow.
Kevin: Fix shadow and reflection. Nice shot.
Maherda:Give your sphere enough depth. Bring it away from the wall.
Pay attention to scale. Measure if you have too.
Highlight is too hot. More like 240 or 220.
Matt: Not reviewed in class.
Mai: Pay attention to where the light is coming from.
More light on the sides of the your object. Realism.
We want this photo to look like it has been shot.
Rich: Add contact shadow. Make the bottom shadow darker to match the other shadows in the shot. More bloom.
Zoe: More depth. Need to see a visual separation between eggs. Add blue light.
Roseanne: Need a shot with a shadow and reflection. Possible re-shoot your plate.
Or make fish bigger.
Umateu: More reflection and shadow.
