i havent seen the new King Kong yet, I'm looking forward to it on dvd, I saw at walmart today that the Brothers Grim was out on dvd, that should make for some cool effects. and I hear it has a good story.

make that 4 of us on here..
King Kong was great. Its really long though.. the effects were really good, although there were a few scenes especially with the dinosaurs that looked sketchy, with the Compositing.
The jungle environments were incredible.. the new Cinefex mag shows the miniature sets they made.. and the digital old New York fly by's were absolutely incredible.
I recommend seeing this in the theatre... with a good sound system... I watch War of the Worlds on DVD, and it really doesn't do the movie justice.. Cause it was really intense in the theatre... and I could see how this would be the same with King Kong

I didn't seeKing Kong yet and I will probably next week. Wasr of the Worlds was kind of disapointing because Spielberg drifted too much fro m the original story.

story? I found the story a great commentary on the post 9-11 world we live in.. at least in an abstract kind of way. But I never really knew the original story..and I really dug it and the effects... when I sat in the theatre, I definitely was entertained, I would probably pick it for best VFX for the Oscars,,,or Revenge of The Sith....

George you should read the Book of War of the Worlds. It was really good, and personally I find it best when film makers try not to push political agendas by injecting social or political commentary in there work, after all most people who spend any real time on the west coast tend to become a little dense on how the real world actually works.

I agree, I about feel out of my seat when I saw the add for it, you and I were talking about it a while back and I made the comment, I can't believe no one haws made it into a movie yet. His historical films tend to be awesome. But even people with little foresight can have 20/20 hindsight lol
